Putting frightening data on the number of women killed in domestic violence in a political context is inadmissible, warns the Commissioner for Protection of Equality, Brankica Janković, regarding the poster that appeared on the N1 portal, and which connects these victims with the past ten years of the current government.

Establishing such a connection is a relativization of crime and victims, bearing in mind that violence against women is one of the most difficult social, decades-old problems faced by all societies, including ours, and which requires radical changes in established patriarchal patterns of behavior.

Bringing the number of victims in connection with daily politics and any political party is a trivialization of the problem and does not contribute to its solution, the Commissioner concludes.
