The Commissioner for the Protection of Equality, Brankica Janković, talked today with the director of the Center for the Rights of the Child, Jasmina Miković, about further activities in the field of promotion and protection of the rights of the child.

The main findings and recommendations from the Special Report on Discrimination against Children, which the Commissioner for Protection of Equality prepared and presented to the National Assembly in previous year, were also discussed at the meeting, and future joint activities of the Commissioner and the Center regarding improving the position of children were agreed.

It was concluded at the meeting that the issue of children’s rights, position and welfare should be given special attention, especially having in mind the consequences of the health crisis in the field of education, support systems for children with disabilities, social protection, but also in family, social and cultural life in general.
