Acting within the framework of the legally prescribed competencies to monitor the implementation of the laws concerning the prohibition of discrimination and recommend to the public authorities measures to achieve equality (Article 33, paragraphs 7 and 9 of the Law on the Prohibition of Discrimination, “Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia” No. 22/2009), the Commissioner for the Protection of Equality gives the following

RECOMMENDATION

It is necessary to take all necessary measures, in accordance with legal competencies, to ensure that procedures in discriminatory litigation, conducted pursuant to the provisions of the Law on Prohibition of Discrimination before the Higher Court in Belgrade, are expeditiously carried out and completed in the shortest possible time, in accordance with the provision of Art. 41, para. 3, which stipulates that such procedures are urgent.
