Minister of Justice, Nela Kuburović, met today with Brankica Janković, Commissioner for the Protection of Equality, and discussed with her the improvement of anti-discrimination norms and position of sensitive groups.

Kuburović and Janković agreed that there is a need for more efficient implementation of anti-discrimination legislation that would additionally improve rights of persons belonging to one of society’s sensitive groups.

They also discussed about amendments to regulations, aimed at improving the position of persons with disabilities.

Speaking about Serbia’s path towards European Union, Kuburović and Janković stressed the importance of implementation of Action Plan for Chapter 23 in strengthening of rule of law and human rights, with accent on anti-discrimination practice and policy.
