Workshops dedicated to improving the position of LGBTI persons in the labor market were held

Within the project “Empowering the LGBTI workforce in the Serbian labor market” and with the support of the British Embassy Belgrade, Chevening Awards (FCDO) Chevening Serbia – British Government Grant of the Chevening Grant Alumni Fund, representatives of the institution of the Commissioner for the Protection of Equality held workshops in Belgrade, Niš, and Novi Sad on the topic “Discrimination of LGBTI persons on the labor market – concept, forms and submission of a complaint to the Commissioner for the Protection of Equality”.

The workshop participants were introduced to the mandate of the institution of the Commissioner, the work to improve the position of LBGTI persons in Serbia, and the way to start the procedure for protection against discrimination before the Commissioner. As part of the project, a guide on discrimination against LGBTI persons in the labor market was published, which also contains a form for filing a complaint.
