In the course of the working visit to Croatian bodies for the protection of equality, Brankica Janković, the Commissioner for the Protection of Equality of the Republic of Serbia met with Ombudswoman for Persons with Disabilities of the Republic of Croatia Anka Slonjšak, the Croatian Ombudsperson for Gender Equality Višnjua Ljubičić and Deputy Ombudswoman Tena Šimonović Einwalter.
Main topic discussed at the meeting with Ombudswoman Slošnjak was the exchange of experience regarding problems encountered by persons with disabilities and promoting their position, primarily in the area of employment, eliminating architectural barriers…
Commissioner Janković discussed with Gender Equallity Ombudsman Višnja Ljubičić topics related to the position of women, LGBT and trans persons in our respective societies. One of the main topics was the exercise of reproduction rights of women.
Commissioner Janković also had a meeting with Ombudsman Šimonović Einwalter where they discussed challenges both countries faced in the area of protection against discriminationa and equality strengthening.
Establishing a tighter regional cooperation and organizing a regional conference in Belgrade was discussed at the meetings.
Delegation of the Republic of Serbia included Assistant Commissioner for the Protection of Equality Kosana Beker, senior advisor Tatjana Jokanović and representatives of the OSCE Mission to Serbia Jelena Jokanović and Mladen Milovanović.
