It is important that all information about support programs concerning the employment of the less employable categories of the population, especially women, who are often discriminated against on the labor market, be easily accessible to all citizens, said Commissioner for the Protection of Equality Brankica Janković at the presentation of the booklet “Support programs for unemployed women,” which was held in Kragujevac.
In the Assembly of the city of Kragujevac, the activities of the local action plan for gender equality planned for this year were presented, and the Commissioner assessed that gender equality topics should be high on the list of priorities in local communities because it is important to ensure the conditions for everyone to have equal chances.
The Commissioner used the opportunity to visit the Institute for Public Health Kragujevac, where a constructive working meeting was held, attended by the Minister for Human and Minority Rights Tomislav Žigmanov, member of the city’s temporary council for Health and Social Policy Dr. Gordana Damnjanović, director of the Institute for Public Health Kragujevac, Dr. Nebojša Ranković, prof. Dr. Sanja Kocić, Prof. Dr. Ivana Simić Vukomanović, Prof. Dr. Svetlana Radević and Dejan Nestorović.
