Acting within the framework of legally prescribed competencies to monitor the implementation of laws and other regulations concerning the prohibition of discrimination, and recommend to the public authorities and other persons measures to achieve equality (Art. 33, items 7 and 9 of the Law on the Prohibition of Discrimination, Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia, No. 22/2009), the Commissioner for the Protection of Equality gives the following

RECOMMENDATION

1. The National Bank of Serbia will take appropriate measures, within its legal competencies, in order to eliminate the discriminatory condition of the upper age limit for the use of banking services, which commercial banks prescribe by their general acts.
2. The National Bank of Serbia will inform the Commissioner for the Protection of Equality of the planned measures in order to act on this recommendation, within 30 days.
