Acting within the statutory competence[1] to monitor the implementation of the laws on the prohibition of discrimination and recommend measures for achieving equality to the public authorities and other persons, the Commissioner for the Protection of Equality refers to PUC City Transportation Company “Belgrade” the following

RECOMMENDATION OF MEASURES FOR ACHIEVING EQUALITY

The Commissioner for the Protection of Equality recommends that the PUC City Transportation Company “Belgrade”:

– remove posters expressing hatred and intolerance towards migrants from public transport vehicles as soon as possible;

– inspect urban/suburban transport vehicles in the future daily, in order to eliminate any discriminatory content.

The PUC City Transportation Company “Belgrade” will inform the Commissioner for the Protection of Equality about the measures taken in order to implement this recommendation, within 30 days from the day of receiving the recommendation of measures for achieving equality.

No appeal or any other legal remedy is allowed against this recommendation of measures for achieving equality, because it does not decide on the rights and obligations of legal entities.
