Local Roma Activists visited the Commissioner for the Protection of Equality

Local Roma Organizations activists visited the institution of the Commissioner for the Protection of Equality in order to learn about the work of the Institution and learn about experiences in antidiscrimination activities, particularly regarding the antidiscrimination protection of the Roma national minority. Twelve activists of the Local Roma Organizations expressed their interest about the work of the Commissioner, the mechanisms for the protection of equality, and the work of Commissioner’s professional service. Assistant Commissioner Ljiljana Loncar, and Advisers in the Commissioner’s Office, Nikola Grujic and Marija Zaric shared their experiences and knowledge with the activists.

This important visit was organized by the Regional Minority Centre as a part of the program dedicated to the capacity building of the Local Roma Organizations in Serbia.
