The Commissioner for the Protection of Equality, Brankica Janković, and independent advisor to the Commissioner for the Protection of Equality, Ivana Filipov, held a working meeting with the members of the Advocacy Group of Women and Girls NGO “Atina” to whom the work of the institution in the fight against discrimination and the promotion of equality was presented, especially in the field of the protection of the position of victims of gender-based violence.

Members of the Advocacy Group of Women and Girls NGO “Atina”, also, shared their experiences and talked about the previous work and activities of the association, as well as the recommendations they made, which concern the improvement of the position and protection of women and girls who have experienced violence.

The working meeting was held as part of the project “Support to girls and women in Serbia in the fight against gender-based violence” in cooperation with the International Organization for Migration, which NGO “Atina” is implementing with the support of the Swiss State Secretariat for Migration.
