Commissioner for the Protection of Equality Brankica Janković participated in the eleventh annual Think Tank Korčula School with numerous activists, experts, and politicians from the region who discussed gender equality and sexual and reproductive rights. At the meeting, it was pointed out that major political and ideological changes cause important political and ideological, often unforeseen, actions, which is why responding readily to the challenges they bring is necessary.

As part of the panel on the pay gap between women and men, the Commissioner gave a presentation on the topic of the gender-based pay gap in Serbia, in which, in addition to the most important data, she presented recommendations for overcoming these differences, such as greater transparency of wages, encouraging women to study in STEM sciences, flexible forms of work, suppression of gender prejudices in the employment process and effective legal protection.
