MIRJANA KECMAN

Mirjana Kecman has been working at the office of the Commissioner for Protection of Equality since August 2015. Previously, she worked as a Head of Department of Administrative Affairs in the field of social protection at the Division of Family Care and Social Welfare in the Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs. For more than two decades, she gained her work experience in the Republicn Secretariat for Legislation, then at the position of Assistant Commissioner for Refugees of the Republic of Serbia, as a member of the Commission for asylum and as a lawyer. She participated in working groups for drafting laws, including the Law on Refugees, the Law on Administrative Procedure, the Draft Law on Amendments to the Law on Social Protection, as well as bylaws issued based on the Law on Asylum.

Mirjana Kecman was born in 1970 in Pula. She graduated from the Faculty of Law in Belgrade and passed her bar examination. She speaks English language.
