Announcement for the public – Misa Djurkovic discriminated LGBT population

In the proceeding conducted upon the complaint of Association Regional Info Center filed against Misa Djurkovic, author of the article titled „School manual for the promotion of homosexuality“, which was published in the column „Views“, in the daily newspaper “Politika“, Commissioner for the Protection of Equality issued an opinion that the provisions of the Law on the Prohibition of Discrimination were violated, together with recommendation to eliminate these violations.

The Law on the Prohibition of Discrimination was violated by the overall context of the article, expressions that correlate with homosexual orientation, disputing of provisions that were to be enacted to regulate prevention of discrimination, such are statements that “so-called Law on the Prevention of Domestic Violence” which was named by the author at the end of his article as “the Law on Domestic Violence”, “would be used for the further destruction of the family and family relations in Serbia” and also at the conclusion of the article: “Serbs are not violent people. But, there are the limits when harassment and violence, implemented on us and our families by people of power, can no longer be borne.  We came too close to that limit with the law on mandatory vaccination, the law on domestic violence and these satanic educational packages”.

Considering that author of this article, Misa Djurkovic, even after the warning, did not act upon the recommendation, Commissioner for the Protection of Equality is informing the public about that, in accordance with the Law on the Prohibition of Discrimination.
