The Commissioner for the Protection of Equality, Brankica Janković, participated in the annual general assembly of EQUINET, the European Network of Equality Bodies in Brussels.

At this year’s meeting of EQUINET, the strategic work plan for the period 2023-2026 was adopted. A special part of the session was devoted to the presentation and promotion of standards for national bodies for equality and ways of their application in member states.

EQUINET consists of public institutions in charge of combating discrimination at the national level, and the Commissioner for the Protection of Equality is its full member. The network ensures that information and knowledge are shared as effectively as possible between members so that they could learn from the successes achieved and the challenges posed during the implementation of their mandate at the national level.
