RECOMMENDATION ON MEASURES TO ACHIEVE EQUALITY
Recommendation has been made within the legally prescribed competences of the Commissioner for the Protection of Equality to monitor the implementation of the laws concerning the prohibition of discrimination and recommend to the public authorities and other persons measures to achieve equality, within the procedure that was conducted on the basis of the information that, upon the end of the bankruptcy proceedings in the Development Bank of Vojvodina ad Novi Sad, the employment of a certain number of employees of this bank would be terminated, including pregnant women and women on maternity leave, who are offered to give written consent for termination of employment.
The Commissioner for the Protection of Equality recommends to the Development Fund of the AP Vojvodina and the Bank Poštanska štedionica to take all necessary measures, in accordance with their powers and possibilities, with the goal of employing, that is, establishing a contract of employment with pregnant women and persons using maternity leave and leave for the care of a child or special care of a child, who are employed by the Development Bank of Vojvodina.
