Commissioner for the Protection of Equality Brankica Jankovic condemns the sexist Facebook post of director of Elektrodistribucija in Knjazevac Predrag Stojanovic, recounted in numerous media outlets, which disparage and offend the dignity of women.

Stojanovic post has additional weight because, as the holder of the public office, he has an obligation to fight against gender stereotypes and discriminatory attitudes.

Although the director of Elektrodistribucija in Knjazevac apologized, stating that it was a “joke” it does not justify any sexist comments in the public space, concludes the Commissioner.
