Commissioner for Protection of Equality, Brankica Jankovic, strongly condemns the comment on the social network Twitter, in which the underage daughter of the President of Serbia was insulted in an inadmissible and shameful way.

The public space is flooded with insulting statements and discriminatory attitudes, and it is becoming more and more prominent on social networks, but such heinous insults have not been seen so far. It is obvious that there are individuals in our society who abuse new channels of communication in public space in order to draw attention to themselves, which must be most seriously condemned by the public.

Commissioner also reminds that everyone is obliged to respect human dignity, which refers to all citizens, especially children.
