The Commissioner for the Protection of Equality is a project partner and a member of the Steering Committee of the regional project “Promotion of diversity and Equality in the Republic of Serbia, implemented by the Council of Europe, funded by the European Union and Council of Europe. The goal of the project is strengthening capacity of the parties of interest for protection and advancement of the national minorities  rights, protection of the LGBTI persons rights, and combat against the hate speech. Horizontal Facility Programme is the result of the cooperation of the EU and Council of Europe. Programme supports reform process, in line with relevant Council of Europe bodies’ recommendations in the field of human rights, rule of law and democracy. It builds upon the results achieved under the first phase of the programme, implemented in the period of 2016-2019.
