Brankica Janković, the Commissioner for the Protection of Equality congratulated Zoran Pašalić on his election for the new Protector of Citizens.

I am confident that in heading this important government institution you will give your full contribution to the further development of our society which is founded on the rule of law, justice and equality, where democratic values are held in high regard, said the Commissioner in her letter, stressing that the professional experience of Zoran Pašalić as the Protector of Citizens will be in the best interest of all citizens of Serbia and to the benefit of the whole society.

Commissioner Janković stated that the institution of the Commissioner for the Protection of Equality she is heading will be a true partner to the Protector of Citizens on their path to reaching a common goal – protection and respect of human rights and liberties as well as full equality.
