The Commissioner for the Protection of Equality Brankica Janković presented the Regular Annual Report on the Situation in the Field of Protection of Equality for 2020 to the members of the Committee on Human and Minority Rights and Gender Equality at a session in the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia.

Summarizing the work, the Commissioner pointed out that 2020 was marked by a pandemic that unequivocally showed the need to establish a balance between protecting the health of the population and respecting human rights, and that we managed to respond to the great challenges we faced both individually and as a society. Janković informed the deputies in detail about the recommendations for combating discrimination and promoting equality.

The Committee adopted conclusions in accordance with the above-mentioned recommendations of the Commissioner and sent them to the National Assembly.
