Recommendations of measures to the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development for harmonization of the content of the Call for applications for scholarships with anti-discrimination regulations

Acting within the framework of legally prescribed competencies [1] to monitor the implementation of laws concerning the prohibition of discrimination and to recommend measures to achieve equality to the public authorities and other persons, the Commissioner for the Protection of Equality addresses to the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development the following

 

RECOMMENDATION ON MEASURES TO ACHIEVE EQUALITY

 

  1. It is necessary that the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development takes all necessary measures to harmonize the content of the Call for applications for scholarships for the school year 2016/2017 year within the project: “THE WORLD IN SERBIA” with anti-discrimination regulations, by removing the conditions “The candidate must have a medical certificate not older than six months confirming that the candidate does not suffer from any infectious disease (including HIV test)”, and by eliminating the consequences effectuated by this condition.
  2. The Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development will inform the Commissioner for the Protection of Equality of the measures undertaken in order to implement this Recommendation, within 30 days from the date of receipt of the Recommendation on the measures to achieve equality.

No appeal or any other legal remedy is allowed against this Recommendation on measures to achieve equality, since the Recommendation does not decide on the rights and obligations of legal entities.
