Recommendation to O. b. Š. of measures to achieve equality in employment

RECOMMENDATIONS OF MEASURES TO ACHIEVE EQUALITY NO. 409/2012

Recommendation has been made within the legally prescribed competences of the Commissioner for the Protection of Equality to monitor the implementation of the laws concerning the prohibition of discrimination and recommend to the public authorities and other persons measures to achieve equality, in the procedure conducted on the basis of the information that on the official website of the O. b. Š. there is a generic application form for employment, which should be filled out by each candidate who wishes to establish a working relationship in this medical institution.

RECOMMENDATION

Commissioner for Protection of Equality addresses O. b. Š. with the following recommendation of measures to achieve equality:

  1. It is necessary to change employment application form, and remove questions concerning the personal characteristics of candidates applying for the job, i.e. the following questions: a) marital status, b) do you have children and how old are they, and v) does your husband-wife work and where.
  2. It is necessary that the Rulebook on the procedure for employment is changed in the part prescribing the criteria and scoring related to the age of candidates.
    It is necessary that O. b. Š. notifies the Commissioner for the Protection of Equality of the planned measures in order to implement these recommendations, within 30 days of receiving the recommendation on measures to achieve equality.
