In the complaint procedure that was carried out against Goran Milovanović, an employee in a catering shop in Kragujevac, due to discrimination against the complainant on the basis of sexual orientation, the Commissioner for the Protection of Equality issued the opinion that Goran Milovanović, calling on the complainant to publicly declare his sexual orientation and calling her a lesbian during the discussion in front of the other guests, violated the provisions of the Law on Prohibition of Discrimination. Goran Milovanović was recommended to send a written apology to the complainant, as well as to take care in the future that his behavior does not violate the legal regulations on the prohibition of discrimination.
Since Goran Milovanović did not act on the given recommendations within the legal deadline, the Commissioner for the Protection of Equality, in accordance with the Law on the Prohibition of Discrimination, is informing the public about this.
