Acting within the legally prescribed competence to monitor the implementation of laws concerning the prohibition of discrimination and send recommendations of measures to public authorities and other persons for achieving equality and protection against discrimination, the Commissioner for Protection of Equality refers to the local self-government unit the following

RECOMMENDATION OF MEASURES FOR ACHIEVING EQUALITY AND PROTECTION AGAINST DISCRIMINATION

The Commissioner for the Protection of Equality recommends that the local self-government unit:

– when announcing pupil and student scholarships, envisage special criteria (affirmative measures) for pupils and students with disabilities, in accordance with the development of inclusive policies in the field of education and within its possibilities.

The local self-government units shall inform the Commissioner for the Protection of Equality about the measures taken in order to implement this recommendation, within 30 days from the day of receipt of the recommendation of measures for achieving equality.

In accordance with the law, no appeal or any other legal remedy is allowed against this recommendation of measures for achieving equality.
