Acting within the framework of legally prescribed competencies to monitor the implementation of laws concerning the prohibition of discrimination and to recommend measures to achieve equality to the public authorities and other persons, the Commissioner for the Protection of Equality addresses to the centers for social work the following
RECOMMENDATION ON MEASURES TO ACHIEVE EQUALITY
The Commissioner for the Protection of Equality recommends to the centers for social work:
- To refrain from basing their decisions and opinions in the procedures of supervision over the exercise of parental rights, as well as in the assessment of parental competences, on stereotypical parents’ roles, or from basing their decisions on prejudices, customs and other social patterns of behavior, which are founded on the idea of inferiority or superiority of genders, or stereotypical gender roles.
No appeal or any other legal remedy is allowed against this Recommendation on measures to achieve equality, since the Recommendation does not decide on the rights and obligations of legal entities.
