Commissioner for the Protection of Equality Brankica Janković and Director of UNICEF Office in Serbia Michel Saint-Lot agreed to continue cooperation and work on mutual projects in area of combating discrimination of children.

At the meeting, they agreed to produce manual for recognizing of discrimination in schools that will be dedicated to parents, teaching staff and children, with aim to contribute to reduction of discrimination and improvement of equality.

Commissioner and Director of UNICEF Office agreed on importance of pointing to the harmfulness of discriminatory acting from the earliest childhood and that the problem of discrimination against children in schools must be at the top of the priority list in the forthcoming period.

Atendees at the meeting were also Assistant Commissioner Tatjana Jokanović, independent advisor Sanja Stanković, as well as Aleksandra Jović, children rights specialist in UNICEF Office in Serbia.
