Commissioner for Protection of Equality, Brankica Jankovic, met with the representatives of Roma Education Center on the occasion of improving the current cooperation in the field of protection of equality and more efficient supression of discrimination, especially when concerning Roma national minority.

Pointing out the problems faced by members of the Roma national minority Commissioner Janković and representatives of the Roma Education Fund discussed the joint activities aimed to educate and inform Roma people about protection from discrimination, through online trainings and visits to Roma settlements, when the conditions for that are met. Other topics of the meeting were related to affirmation of examples of positive practice in in the field of education and employment of Roma as well as to internship of young Roma in the Commissioner for protection of equality and some other institutions.

Roma Education Fund deals with education, employment and readmission of returnees and, as the representatives of this organization especially pointed, they see Commissioner for the Protection of Equality as an associate and a true partner in combating discrimination against the Roma community, as well as their inclusion in social flows.
