The Commissioner for Protection of Equality invites applications for appointment as Junior Project Assistant in the implementation of the Project “Empowering Rural Women in Serbia Against Discrimination and Violence” implemented by Commissioner for Protection of Equality in cooperation with UN Woman Serbia and funded by Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The project’s interventions are tailored to meet the specific needs of rural women and girls, as well as women’s NGOs, by enhancing their knowledge about protection mechanisms and actors responsible for preventing gender-based violence and discrimination against women. Additionally, it will empower rural women to recognise discrimination and gender based violence (GBV) and domestic violence (DV), seek assistance from the Commissioner, and actively engage with mechanisms for the prevention and protection from violence against women and girls (VAWG).
QUALIFICATIONS
- At least a bachelor’s degree in the area of law, gender studies, communication, political sciences, social sciences, or an area relevant to the requirements of the TOR;
- Very well-developed written and communication skills;
- Ability to review a variety of data, identify and adjust discrepancies, identify, and resolve operational problems;
- At least 1 year of professional experience in providing technical, administrative, and logistic support to the implementation of programmes and projects;
- Fluency in English and Serbian (written and verbal);
- Ability to work independently and organise the workflow efficiently;
- Experience in the area of human rights (optional but preferred) ;
- Experience in working with a government institution or non-governmental organisation or international organisation (optional but preferred);
- Previous experience in the field of gender equality is considered an asset (optional but preferred).
