The Commissioner for the Protection of Equality, Brankica Janković, and the Minister for Human and Minority Rights and Social Dialogue, Tomislav Žigmanov, together with their associates, held a meeting on topics of importance for improving the respect and protection of human and minority rights, the implementation of existing strategies and action plans, as well as on future joint projects.
Commissioner Janković emphasized that we should have before us a vision of a society that sees diversity not as a threat but as a potential strength, for which it is necessary to reach a political and social consensus.
Minister Žigmanov pointed out that the Ministry consistently works on the affirmation and protection of human and minority rights. On the other hand, we stand for a zero point of tolerance towards everything that is deviant in society, the minister emphasized.
Žigmanov and Janković agreed that there is a pronounced need for quality social dialogue, especially in light of global processes and challenges that affect all countries in the environment.
