Brankica Janković, the Commissioner for Protection of Equality severely condemned the attack that occurred on the premises of the Human Rights House located in downtown Belgrade.

The Commissioner calls on the law enforcement agencies to act promptly and investigate the circumstances of the attack that occurred in the night between Thursday and Friday when windows were smashed on the Human Rights House in Belgrade, a hub to important non-governmental organizations operating in Serbia.

Non-governmental organizations are our partners and allies in achieving objectives aimed at improving, protecting and respecting human rights of all people in our country. All these goals are a significant stepping stone towards building a functional, democratic, fair and tolerant society.
