Commissioner for Protection of Equality, Milan Antonijević, met with the newly appointed Director of the German Organisation for International Cooperation (GIZ) in Serbia, Sabine Olthof, with whom he discussed the continuation of their long-standing cooperation in the field of advancing equality and protection against discrimination.

The meeting particularly addressed the importance of continued joint activities aimed at implementing the principle of equality in the field of labor and employment, including support for the business community in order to ensure more effective implementation of anti-discrimination regulations.

Antonijević and Olthof agreed that equality is the foundation of every democratic society, and that future cooperation will remain dedicated to protecting citizens who are at increased risk of discrimination.
