Health protection, economic and technological development, reducing unemployment by enhancing dignified work and new jobs, better response of the education system to current and future market needs with knowledge that facilitates market changes, all this represents inclusive growth necessary to improve the lives of all citizens and reduce inequality, especially of vulnerable social groups, said the Commissioner for the Protection of Equality Brankica Janković at the Kopaonik Business Forum.
As the moderator of the panel “Inequality and the response of public policies: a contribution to inclusive growth”, she emphasized that in this way opportunities for all citizens are improved and related to the well-being of all community members. Therefore, work should be intensified on various measures aimed at achieving full equality of different social groups, including social assistance mechanisms, labor market policies and equality in education, because without the inclusion of all, there is no substantial progress and development of society, said the Commissioner.
There speakers at the panel, discussing overall sustainable and inclusive growth and development were Vekol DMC director Tanja Bogdanov, from the viewpoint the company, Natasa Vučković, executive director of the Center for Democracy, from the viewpoint of the civil society, as well as Mihail Arandarenko, Professor at the Faculty of Economics, and Sandra Grujičić, Assistant Minister of Labor, Employment and Veterans Social Issues.
