For the second year in the row, Roma university students will work as interns in the Office of the Commissioner for the Protection of Equality Experts Department.
The Internship Program is the result of cooperation between the Office of the Commissioner for the Protection of Equality and the European Roma Rights Center (ERRC) with the main objective to offer Roma university students hands-on work experience in an independent institution specialized in prevention of and protection against discrimination as well as equality strengthening.
The aim of this program, which targets Roma university students and law school graduates, is empowerment of this national minority, gaining practical experience and know-how through daily work at the Office for the Protection of Equality as well as acquiring knowledge on different equality policy aspects aimed at Roma community inclusion.
Through this program, the Office of the Commissioner for the Protection of Equality supports activities which foster the inclusion of Roma into the social life of Serbia. Likewise, the capacities of the institution itself will be strengthened mostly through experience and knowledge sharing.
