Representatives of Scout Association of Serbia, World Organization of the Scout Movement and World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts visited the institution of Commissioner for Protection of Equality because of extension of cooperation in area of education of children about the values of equality and accepting of differences.
Children are by honest by nature, curious and unburdened by prejudices, while our experiences revealed that they are ready to participate in various activities where they can learn much through informal ways of education about universal social values, such are the equality and tolerance, what is discrimination and why it is harmful, said Commissioner Brankica Jankovic.
Workshops on discrimination, held by which Commissioner for Protection of Equality at the international Jamboree of the Scout Association of Serbia, in which more than 100 children from various countries participated, were declared one of the best Jamboree activities, said the representatives of this organization.
Among the participants at the meeting were also Tanja Jankovic and Nikola Milojevic from Scout Association of Serbia, Craig Turpie from the World Organization of the Scout Movement and Helen Clark from the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts.
