WARNING FOR THE PUBLIC REGARDING THE INSULTING STATEMENTS OF VOJISLAV SESELJ

Commissioner for Protection of Equality Brankica Jankovic strongly condemns vulgar, sexist and insulting comments that Vojislav Seselj wrote about Marinika Tepic on Twitter. Such way of verbal argumentation with political opponents used by a MP is not just inappropriate, it is also prohibited by the law.

The same post contains the insulting of Mon Djuraj, member of Albanian national minority and owner of bakery in Borca, in the moment when he and his family are suffering harassments, threats and pressure because of gatherings of right-wing organizations, which endangers his security. Therefore, the hatred and intolerance towards Albanian national minority in Serbia is additionally incited, which is explicitly prohibited by the Constitution of the Republic of Serbia and the Law on the Prohibition of Discrimination.

Due to events that lasted for many days, the representatives of Commissioner for Protection of Equality visited today Mon Djuraj, the owner of bakery in Borca.
