OPINION

The opinion was issued regarding the complaint lodged by the Roma association “D.” of J. on behalf of a minor girl T.R. with the consent of her mother D.R. against K.B, employed with the Primary School “G.D.” in J. for discrimination on the grounds of nationality. The complaint claimed that T.R. is a pupil of the P.S.”G.D.” and that in the biology class the teacher K.B. told her: “Well, you are supposed to get married soon”. In her declaration regarding the allegations of the complaint, K.B. said that she had never uttered such sentence, and that she had never discriminated against T.R. on any grounds. The Commissioner for the Protection of Equality ascertained that on the basis of the facts and evidence provided it was not possible to determine what K.B. actually said to T.R. in the biology class. The Commissioner for the Protection of Equality issued the opinion that in the case concerned it has not been established whether the biology teacher K.B. discriminated against T.R. on the grounds of her nationality.
