Brankica Janković, the Commissioner for the Protection of Equality strongly denounced insults made via social media by actor Sergej Trifunović on account of the Speaker of the Serbian National Assembly, Maja Gojković.

All discriminatory and vulgar remarks, in particular those targeting women active in the political and public realm are impermissible, stressed the Commissioner.

Not seeing eye to eye is legitimate, but different views must be expressed without resorting to insults, said Commissioner Janković.
