Commissioner for the Protection of Equality Brankica Jankovic condemns the banner and insulting statements on national, religious or any other grounds, which were aimed against basketball player Alen Omic at the match Crvena Zvezda – Olympiakos and emphasizes that we must not allow that such individual incidents distort the image of society which has proved so many times that it transcends all kinds of differences.

For years, Serbia has been known worldwide as the land of sport, and successes in collective sports are, among other things, the result of the openness of our clubs and acceptance of differences, says Commissioner, adding that we should all contribute to the promotion of tolerance and equality.
