What is important to each of us, who are the role models that shape us, and what are the values that would contribute to the society we live in becoming a better place for everyone, were the topics of the workshop “Be yourself and contribute!” held for the members of the panel of youth – Youth for Equality of the Commissioner for the Protection of Equality.
Discovering personal and shared values and resources is not an easy task, especially for young secondary school students, which is why pedagogue Maša Avramović and NLP educator Aleksandra Stamenković encouraged the panelists through lectures and workshops to recognize and accept their values and strengths, but also weaknesses, to think about role models who affect their worldview as well as their motivation for active participation in the changes they want to achieve in their environment.
The Commissioner for the Protection of Equality, Brankica Janković, also attended the workshops and shared her values and role models in a conversation with the participants. On that occasion, the Commissioner also held a short presentation on the exhibition “Great Women of Serbian Culture” organized by the Commissioner in the House of Jevrem Grujić.
