The Commissioner has submitted, jointly with the Protector of Citizens, proposal to the Constitutional Court of Serbia requesting from the court to declare as unconstitutional discriminatory regulation of the Law Establishing the Maximum Number of Employees in the Public Sector, stating that women automatically by the Law shall retire earlier than men when certain conditions are met.

The Commissioner and the Ombusman proposed to the Court to, before it decides in merit, suspend the execution of individual acts conducted on the basis of the disputed regulation of the Law forcing them retire earlier than men.
