Brankica Janković, the Commissioner for the Protection of Equality extended a message of congratulation to Serbian athletes who won medals at the 2017 World Para Athletics Championship in London.
By breaking the world Club Throw record, Željko Dimitrijević went beyond victory and the best result, he demonstrated how persistence and perseverance can push the limits and make the impossible possible, he has once again shown that top performance feeds off unbreakable will and hard work, said Commissioner Jankovć.
Commissioner’s congratulations went out to other medalists as well, Miloš Zarić – gold medal in Men’s Javelin Throw and Miloš Mitić – bronze medal in Men’s Club Throw. The Commissioner reiterated that different barriers faced by persons with disabilities need to be elimianted which would be an encouragment for others to become involved in various sports activities.
