Head of the Department for Cooperation and European Integration, Jelena Kotević, participated in a meeting organized by Belgrade Pride dedicated to strategic planning to improve the position of members of the LGBT population.

On that occasion, Kotević presented some of the research results on the attitudes of citizens and representatives of public authorities towards discrimination of the LGBT community in Serbia, which was carried out in cooperation with the Office of the Council of Europe in Belgrade. Representatives of numerous civil society organizations also attended the meeting for the protection of the rights of LGBT persons, and they had the opportunity to learn more about the most significant activities of the Commissioner’s institution, mechanisms for protection against discrimination, as well as opportunities for cooperation in this area.
