Acting within the framework of legally prescribed competencies to monitor the implementation of laws and other regulations concerning the prohibition of discrimination and recommend to the public authorities and other persons measures to achieve equality (Art. 33, items 7 and 9 of the Anti-Discrimination Law), acting upon the Conclusion of the Government of Serbia on the adoption of a Methodology for the drafting by-laws 05 No. 011-7473/2010, the Commissioner for the Protection of Equality gives the following

RECOMMENDATION

1. The Government of the Republic of Serbia will take all necessary measures in order to change the provisions of Chapter IV Language, style and method of writing regulations, indent 47, Methodologies for the drafting of by-laws, by amending the provision of indent 47, Methodologies for the drafting of secondary legislation, in such a manner that this provision also includes feminine gender.
2. The Government of the Republic of Serbia will take measures within its competence in order to create conditions for the use of gender-differentiated language, in accordance with the principle of gender equality.
3. The Government of the Republic of Serbia will inform the Commissioner for the Protection of Equality of the planned and undertaken measures to be implemented in accordance with this recommendation.
