Linking the spread of new infectious disease “monkeypox” with the LGBT community, the way some media and portals are doing, is to be strongly condemned, said Commissioner for the Protection of Equality Brankica Janković.

She emphasized that the targeting of any group of people based on any actual or perceived personal characteristics, including on grounds of sexual orientation, is discriminatory and illegal.
