Brankica Jankovć, Commissioner for the Protection of Equality, took part in a debate “Gender equality in Serbia today” in Valjevo, as well as in Mentoring Walk on the occasion of the International Women’s Day, a part of Global Mentoring Walk coordinated by Vital Voices organization.

Gender equality is the issue for the whole society and is directly reflected on its development and life quality of every one of us. We have to fight for these values every day, with different tools and clear personal attitude”, said the Commissioner.
She stressed that the institution of the Commissioner for the Protection of Equality takes all necessary measures to prevent further discrimination of women in the area of labor and employment and invited all women to report all instances of discrimination.
Among speakers at the debate were also Svetlana Stefanović, Project Manager from EpuS, Mila Grujičić from Gender Equality Council of Valjevo and Zorana Antonijević, Advisor for Gender Equality in OSCE Mission in Serbia.
