Commissioner for the Protection of Equality, Brankica Janković, held a meeting with Luka Mesec, Minister of Labor, Family, Social Policy and Equal Opportunities of Slovenia.
We discussed the challenges of implementing the principle of equality in all areas of life, especially in the field of work and employment. We recognized that our two countries share some similar problems, especially regarding the existence of various obstacles and discrimination against persons with disabilities, Roma and women, said the Commissioner.
In today’s meeting, where the most important challenges in the process of Serbia’s accession to the EU were also discussed, Bojana Selaković, coordinator of the National Convention, participated, and presented realistic perceptions on this issue and the need for harmonization of messages of all institutions and officials of the European Union about Serbia’s progress in the accession process.
