Commissioner for the Protection of Equality, Brankica Janković, met with the Ambassador of Greece, Maria Levanti, with whom she discussed the importance of respect for human rights and protection mechanisms against discrimination.

Janković also presented to Ambassador Levanta the most important activities undertaken by the institution in the field of protection and promotion of equality as a fundamental value of every democratic society. She also pointed out that the institution of the Commissioner is the initiator of regional cooperation between institutions for equality of the countries of the Western Balkans, which have a specific position and a significant role in the protection of human rights, strengthening the rule of law, as well as the development of better relations and stability in the region.
