Commissioner for Protection of Equality Brankica Jankovic met with director of USAID Office for Democratic and Economic Growth Laura Pavlovic to discuss the extension of cooperation through projects for protection and improvement of equality, with aim to suppress stereotypes and raise awareness of the harmfulness of discrimination.

It was stressed, during the meeting, that accent of future cooperation should be on youth, particularly in education sphere, as well as on their motivation to use their digital literacy best for learning. Commissioner Jankovic emphasized that one should also work on developing potentials of women in rural areas and their more active inclusion in politics.

Director of USAID Office for Democratic and Economic Growth Laura Pavlovic expressed support to the institution of Commissioner in further strengthening of tolerant society and said that USAID helps empowering of institutions and rule of law in Serbia through various programs.
