Company “Lidl” signed the Commissioner for Protection of Equality’s “Partnership for Equality” with aim to improve and respect the equality principle, equal chances for work and employment of all citizens.

Commissioner Brankica Jankovic stressed that the employers should be aware of the fact that business and human rights are not on the opposite, but on the same side and that company “Lidl” is an excellent example of successful business conduct that respects the equality and human rights of employees.

She emphasized that equal chances are in the best interest of both workers and employers, because only a motivated worker can make full contribution.

Head of Human Resources department in Lidl Milena Dodig stressed that equality in business is one of the imperatives in their company and that signing of the “Partnership for Equality” with Commissioner for Protection of Equality was a natural move, with expectation of a successful cooperation in practicing equality.
